Gillibrand campaign flagged for illegal use of Beastie Boys

October 19, 2006

Kirsten Gillibrand is the Democrat running for Congress in New York’s 20th (she worked for the Clinton White House and is making a jillion dollars a day at her law firm. Why congress why).
View the ad on her opponent James . . . old white Republican guy . . .

Hmm. Well, better than the Corker ad where Fred Thompson a) does a poor impersonation of Morgan Freeman b) assumes nearly all voters will recognize his voice (no one watches new Law and Odor episodes anymore).

I’m in this district. This ad isn’t airing on local TV and since it lacks the federally mandated tags saying who funded its creation, I am guessing it’s an indie job circulated through YouTube. It’s a stretch to say this is coming from the “campaign.”

Hmm, thanks. I didn’t watch ’till the end, so I missed that it didn’t have the I approve of this message bit. Still, why Congress, why.
