Moore’s thoughts:

 I firmly believe that this country will elect a black Republican before we elect a black Democrat. That’s right. You heard me, Obama.

Who will that be? There’s a Dem actually poised to do it within the next ten years at most, and another who likely has the stuff (Gov. Deval Patrick). Is there a Black republican anywhere near that? Name one who could even make it through the GOP primary.

What’s more, electing a Black republic (heh) requires that Black Democrats vote for that republic. Since Powell isn’t running, ever, I don’t ever see that happening, certainly not before one of the two aforementioned men make the historic first.
