MSNBC dumps I-mess

April 11, 2007

I didn’t think they had the bosack to do it. Imus will lose money from this, however the thing he’s most afraid of is being dumped from WFAN and syndication. The network brass has been surprising me so far with their reactions to this mess, so we will see.

Really, he should have expected this. His Black best friends should have warned him at least, which begs two questions, how good a friendship did they have if they didn’t pull him aside one day and suggest that he chill, and how good a friendship could they have considering his past comments?

Clarence Page did warn him and suggested he chill.

As for the quality of friendship, you would have to ask Harold Ford, Jr. Don Imus is a good friend and a decent man. However, he did a reprehensible thing. His comments about the Rutgers women’s basketball team were hurtful and wrong.

I didn’t either. I”m glad they did. It sends a good message.

It only leaves me thinking….really? All the rage over Imus? I hope we don’t feel “purged” now. I mean…if we’re gonna do “change,” let’s get going with this thing! Imus is only an appetizer! There’s even more vile “pundits” than him. If we’re gonna make a difference, let’s do that.
